A catch-all feature that is activated for a given email mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. To state it differently, if you remove an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled email address under the same domain name, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential in case you are running some business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited messages, you can use the catch-all feature with anti-spam filtering software so as to get only legitimate emails in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

In case you’ve got a Linux hosting package with our company and you would like to enable the catch-all feature for a given email mailbox that you have in the hosting account, it will take literally just one single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do that. A catch-all button is available to the right of each email address that you have created under any domain name registered in the account. You can choose one address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will activate the feature right away, so all email messages sent to mistyped email addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking on the button once again will turn off the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will exhibit a cautionary notification and you will not be able to enable the catch-all feature until you disable the forwarding or you can simply select another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will permit you to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without any efforts even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you’ve created with your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will warn you if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you don’t want this feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
